Wish you guys had posted this earlier. I'm already at Comic con and I don't have a thing with me that's dark blue. If I can, I'll try to go out and see the volunteers.

I realize I haven't answered this comment of yours. Swag -- in terms of handing out freebies to the masses -- my impression was that there was far less this year. I think we saw the results of the economic downturn and the writers strike and the continued uncertainty. Last year, I collected a lot of baseball caps which I like to wear to hold my hair back. This year I saw none. For the most part there were pins and plastic bags but very few of the kind you'd keep. Last year there was a lot of key chains, this year I saw very few of anything nice. There were a few T-shirt giveaways, but very few.
On the other hand, there were ticketed giveaways. But this was a business trip for me so I wasn't going to spend all day waiting in lines for tickets so I could wait in line for items I probably wouldn't use anyway.
There were also some raffles of very nice things -- laptop computers, Star Trek duffle bags (the girl who won it was in line in front of me for a panel that's how I know about it and she and her friends had driven up from Mexico to attend the con) but my impression is that once again it wasn't like former years.
The only thing I made sure I got was the gift card from Sideshow Collectibles for my nephew. They do exquisite work but the replicas are pricey. Value on the cards range from $10 to $100 and you have to look online for what each card is worth. Last year the card was worth $75, but my nephew bought something that cost $300. Still it was something he was planning to get anyway, so $75 off was a nice break. I don't know what the value was of the card I gave him this year, yet.

Wow, I am reading this late. I wish I had checked this in July haha. Comic Con was amazing. I can't wait until next year.
